Shadow
Appearance: Shadows stand five or six feet tall and appear as eyeless, vaguely humanoid silhouettes. Most shadows are cloaked in undifferentiated darkness, though some varieties have specific parts that still appear lifelike or which are illumined by unearthly brightness -- typically their eyes, teeth, or nails, but sometimes as bizarre and disturbing as major arteries, a ghostly spine, or even spectres of the worms and maggots that colonized their corpses after death and now crawl through their shadowy non-forms.
Known Behaviors: Shadows retain only a fraction of the intelligence they had in life. They are creatures filled with hatred. Mercy is alien to them; they cannot be reasoned with or bought off, and they exist only to destroy the lives that they themselves have lost.
Known Range: Any that offers protection from daylight.
