The Rogues of the world are a colorful lot, and are found in nearly every corner of the realm. They are the glib pick pockets and con men, who ferry from city to city whenever the town officials get wise to their schemes. They are the underground lifeblood of the city, running rackets in smuggling, thievery and general skulldruggery. Rogues know who to talk to and where to get things, and can scale the odd wall and pick open a few vaults when the times arise.
While the common cut purse is generally looked down upon by the more respected of the community, have no doubt that Rogues have their niche. When the time comes to traipse down a heavily fortified dungeon, or to break someone out of a cell, there is no better friend than a Rogue.
Whether eking out an existence by pilfering the gems of the wealthy and distracted, or tinkering with the latest design of pulleys and trip wires while making elaborate devices for their paranoid clients, Rogues exist not because of what they are, but what they can do. Because of their wide variety of skills, from picking locks and lurking in the shadows to springing open nefarious traps, they are quite a good accessory to a group of mages and warriors. However, because of this heavy emphasis upon their trade, Rogues are quite handily thrashed when anything resembling a swordsman comes along. Rogue's are generally better at running away from combat than participating in it.
Maximum Weapon: BC8 (see [[Armory Armory]])
Note: All Rogues automatically receive Thieves' Cant as a skill. This does not count toward the skill choices below.
