The Prophecy of the Neverlost
The forces of destiny seem to be converging on the Coeur D'Ennui. Ancient prophecies from a variety of religions seem to be surfacing, referring to events happening in the city. Powerful sects from a number of religions have begun to mobilize in an attempt to turn forthcoming events in their favor. Maol and Rathenor in particular seem to be heavily invested in the outcome of these prophetic times, but it is not certain toward what end they are trying to guide destiny.
References to prophecies of both Rathenor and Maol have been recovered by patrons of the Parthenon, but various translation issues and the sheer enormity of fate have made information gathering difficult. Some of the patrons have been personally referenced by the prophecies, but it is yet uncertain what their roles shall involve.
Important Events
- A group of Parthenon patrons intercepted a shipment on its way into the city. They eliminated the undead minions of the halfling smuggler Dreyfuss Thinne, but also caused the death of the prophecy's protector, Diemano of the Halda.
- A group of Maolites raided the Parthenon in an attempt to steal the prophecy, but were thwarted. In the course of this raid, it was revealed that the prophecy was actually incarnated in the form of a human paladin named Ildirae.
- A group of patrons recovered a shard of the Godslayer's Sword from the Temple under the Blood Sea, and Rolo Emptybottle was named its Guardian under the prophecy.
- A group of patrons tracked down The Cloaked One, the Maolite mage responsible for the raid on the inn. The group recovered a number of texts concerning a Maolite prophecy, but the illusionist Glapoes was slain in the battle. (He was later resurrected.)
