Ormirin
Ormirin, also known as "dragonkin," are among the oldest groups of creatures known to the world. The earth was ruled by dragons before the rise of men, and though the great wyrms are now as rare as they are fearsome, their lesser kin still range from the frozen shores of the White Seas to the sun-baked stones of Ardashir.
Several traits link the beasts classified as "ormirin." They are all reptilian, predatory, and territorial. Some are little more intelligent than dogs, while others are nearly as cunning as their draconic cousins. Intelligent ormirin are strongly, but not universally, inclined toward evil. Most of their kind are quite large, though a few species can be as small as housecats. Almost all exhibit some tendency toward greed, even if it is no more sophisticated than collecting shiny objects to decorate their nests.
