Character Descriptions
Kes Flindler

Name: Kes Flindler
Race: Halfling
Class: Sorcerer
Band: Orange
Gender: Female
Height: 3'1
Weight: 36 lbs.
Eyes: Black
Hair: Violet with lavender highlights
Occupation: Seamstress and Alchemist ("The best in the entire Coeur!").
Effects: Kes makes a point to dress in her own designs, choosing brightly colored fabrics that she feels fits her mood or the season. With every combination, however, the halfling wears a pair of highly polished gold earrings shaped in the likeness of spread-winged owls with dark lavender crystal eyes. Unlike her kinsmen she also prefers to add shoes to her ensembles, getting them custom made from a shop on Tanner Road.
Weapons: "Not this punky little dagger and sling! No, these are just decorative! Why would I want to hurt you!"
Background: [To be eventually gotten to, really-ness.]
Kes' Alchemy Corner!
Ms. Flindler is proud to provide you with a growing list of alchemical concoctions as only one so studied in the art can provide!
Healing:
Burn Lotion - Greasy yellow salve made from salamander fat, the clippings of nightmares' manes, fire poppy juice and a splash of molten lead. Heals 10 points of fire or acid damage if applied directly to the burn within an hour of receiving it. (25 ss)
Skinglue - Noxious-smelling gray paste compounded from snakes' skins, horse-hoof glue, powdered frog venom and other unpleasant substances. May be converted via Alchemy into BC6 doses of an identical-looking substance that heals BC4 damage when applied to open wounds and can stabilize heavy bleeding. (30 ss)
ELIPHAS' TROLLHEART OINTMENT - Deep, waxy green ointment with tiny red flecks. Made from troll hearts, this ointment can be used to either heal 3BC10+3 Stamina or to regenerate a critical injury (takes a week of real time to heal broken bones, two weeks to regenerate a lost hand or eye, three weeks for a lost limb).
Combat items:
GHOSTWOUNDER - Clear gray oil that feels cool to the touch and smells of freshly-turned earth. May be used to anoint two melee weapons, 10 javelins or spears, or 20 arrows or bolts. For the next 24 hours, those weapons inflict normal damage on incorporeal undead. (40 ss - coming soon!)
POTION OF SWIFTNESS - Pale pink potion that froths when exposed to open air. +15 Speed for one hour, noncumulative with any other Speed-enhancing effects. (50 ss - coming soon!)
Gribble's Golem Goop - A sticky green-gray ooze that can be thrown on solid-state constructs to weaken the magic that animates them, inflicting -25 MA, CA and Speed on the target golem for the next five rounds. Unusually large or heavily enchanted golems may require multiple doses or be unaffected. (50 ss)
Brightstone - Bead of alchemical compounds coated in a layer of dried clay. Upon striking a hard surface, the bead cracks, creating a bright light that has a 50% chance of blinding creatures within 10' for the remainder of that round. The Brightstone continues to give off heatless light equal to a torch's for 30 minutes after the initial flash. (50 ss)
Mineral Acid - Smoking gray-green liquid stored in a glass jar. This acid can eat through bone and corrode metal, and which inflicts 2BC10+2 damage per dose if splashed on skin (requires a CA check if thrown in combat, with a maximum range of 50'). (50 ss)
Pickling Acid - Virulent yellow liquid in a glass jar. This acid can eat through flesh, cloth and wood, and inflicts BC10 damage per dose if splashed on skin (requires a CA check if thrown in combat, with a maximum range of 50'). (20 ss)
Miscellany:
Drying Powder - Fine yellowish powder wrapped into a paper ball. Dries up to 10 cubic feet of liquid if sprinkled atop it. Water dries in one full round; more viscous liquids may take longer to dehydrate. If thrown at a water- or slime-based creature (maximum range is 25' and requires a CA check to hit; can also be thrown up to 50' with a sling), Drying Powder inflicts 2BC10 noncritting damage per dose. (50 ss)
Vanishing Ink - Pale green ink that disappears as it dries. When a message written in Vanishing Ink is held over a flame or equivalent heat, the words reappear in deep reddish-brown. Each dose is sufficient to write roughly 150 words. (50 ss)
