1. Purity of Vision - [White] [Cost: 1] [10 minutes]
Any evil-aligned creature in the paladin's field of vision is surrounded by an impious aura visible only to the paladin. Places and objects used for profane purposes may also be detected by this ability.
3. Sacred Oath - [Gray] [Cost: 3] [24 hours/Special]
Once per day, the paladin may swear a solemn oath on her deity's name to correct a specific injustice (for example, bringing a criminal to trial or recovering stolen goods). All actions undertaken in direct furtherance of that goal gain a +10 bonus; the paladin also gains a +10 bonus to saves vs. effects that would directly hinder her goals. The benefit lasts up to 24 hours or until the goal is achieved, whichever happens first.
However, if the paladin voluntarily deviates from or delays working toward the fulfillment of her oath, or if she learns that her original goal will not actually achieve the ends of justice but continues to pursue it, this changes to a -10 penalty to all actions and saves. The penalty lasts for an additional 24 hours after the expiration of the original oath.
5. Divine Certainty - [Red] [Cost: 3] [1 hour]
Shields the paladin's mind from insidious influences, including magical persuasions such as Suggestion and Silver Tongue, manipulations such as Charm and Enthralling Performance, and paladin Powers from the Deception and Wickedness domains. The paladin is completely immune to effects used by beings of equal or lower level for the duration of Divine Certainty, and gains a save bonus equal to twice his level (up to a maximum of +30 at Level 15) against all others.
This Power affords no protection against illusions or direct mental attacks that do not rely on manipulation or deceit.
8. Confession - [Orange] [Cost: 1 per question] [Instantaneous]
Compels a sentient creature to give honest answers to the paladin's questions. Each invocation of this Power allows one answer to be obtained. An unwilling creature may save vs. Will/2 to lie or refrain from answering.
11. Mark of Justice - [Yellow] [Cost: 11] [Special]
By carrying out a prolonged ritual (which takes a full night to perform and costs 250 ss in materials), the paladin can inscribe a single creature with the High Tongue rune for "wrongdoer." The recipient of the Mark of Justice must have been convicted of a crime (otherwise the ritual fails and the materials are wasted); most often these Marks are used to designate murderers and adherents of dark gods. The rune must be placed on a readily visible location, such as the subject's forehead, and its grim meaning will be apparent to all who view it.
When the paladin sets the Mark, he must choose one specific behavior to be prohibited. Common triggers are re-entering a land from which the Marked person has been banished, rejoining the worship of an evil deity, or committing another crime. As long as the Marked person refrains from the trigger behavior, the Mark has no harmful effect.
However, if the Marked person engages in the trigger behavior, he suffers constant and wracking pain (-50 MA, CA and Speed; cannot regain Stamina or Power from ordinary rest). Additionally, everyone who encounters him will feel deep hostility toward the Marked person. These effects persist until the afflicted person confesses and is forgiven by a priest or paladin of the same faith as the paladin who put on the Mark, dies, or has the Mark removed by Absolution, Dispelling (as the paladin's level at the time of creation), or equivalent magic.
