Hill Giant
Appearance: Hill giants are the most primitive of giantkin, and they look it. Their features are coarse and brutish, with low foreheads, heavy brows, and broad noses. Their hair is earth-colored, ranging from the light yellow-brown of river clay to coal-black, and their skin is tan or ruddy. Hill giants wear crude clothes stitched together from animal hides and -- rarely -- cloth or blankets taken from more civilized creatures. Their jewelry is similarly crude, and tends toward simple skull necklaces or nose pins. An average hill giant stands ten to eleven feet tall and weighs about eight hundred pounds.
Known Behaviors: Left to themselves, hill giants organize into loose familial groups. On rare occasions they may be found in larger tribes, but few lands are capable of supporting their kind in such numbers, as the giants do not farm and seldom keep livestock (beyond holding prisoners for later meals). They often plague outlying towns and villages by raiding those settlements or demanding tribute to keep themselves fed.
Known Range: Irontooth Mountains
