Revision [3429]
Edited on 2007-08-22 23:05:30 by GoldenHair [Typo fixing. Added Inspiration so I don't have to keep reciting it.]Additions:
Golden is known to believe that no intelligent creature is beyond redemption, and has taken it as her duty to purify the corrupt and redeem the irredeemable. Only the corruptors of Zhardis and Anvhad were truly beyond hope. Secondarily, she has worked to protect the less powerful, as without protection, they would be more like to succumb to death and corruption. She would rather help them become strong enough to protect themselves, but she understands that not everyone is able to that.
It is important to note that she is not a pacifist. She, in fact, believes that waiting for evil to strike is insanity, and will not hesitate to give the first blow. On the other hand, surrender is always offered to those who oppose her, and she would most likely turn on companions who did not honor that surrender given. Even when not accepted, she prefers to capture rather than kill, where possible. Only the corrupters of Anvhad and Zhardis are shown no mercy. One of her more recent developed prayers is to bolster the strengths of her companions in combat (see below)

25. Inspiration - [Purple] [Cost: 8] [Combat]
The paladin's valor acts as an inspiration to those around her. All allies of good or neutral alignment within 75' gain +10 MA, CA, +20 to all saves, and +1 holy damage for weapons and spells. This ability takes one action to use, and expires should the paladin fall unconscious.))

Ironically, she's been known to deal more with the rogues of the city than most paladins. They are, specifically, not the true evil that plagues the world, thus not a true threat. She also views Alrighites with the same disdain she views Baozite, seeing their intolerence of other views as being different sides of the same worthless coin. She is known to be on good terms with __**[[Tetharel]]**__, but their paths tend not to cross much.

It was said that she had finally one too many brushes with death, and gone to retire somewhere to contemplate her existence. That she has recently returned suggests that wasn't the case, but she isn't talking about it.
Since returning, she's reclaimed a former temple in the lightforsaken town of __**[[Tannoril]]**__, but has not yet reopened it to the public.

**Known Beliefs and powers**:
The paladin's ethics are unquestionable, and are apparent to even those who have never met her before. Her mere presence has been rumored to stop full scale brawls, and has known to kept people anchored to life. The paladin's dedication to life manifests itself in slight white aura that Golden is neither willing nor able to conceal.
(Valor's Sight: The paladin does not bother to hide her strength of character. All creatures within 50' are aware of her alignment aura.)

Very little actually has shaken the paladin from her ethics. Only once was she known to have. She had been captured by a group of necromancers and dark priests, claiming to serve a Banished Pantheon. She was tortured, but that wasn't enough to shake her. It was that she was forced to watch other people being tortured in front of her that drove her into the rage that only a bard's magic was able to draw her out of.

**Height**: 5' 10", in Human form
**Weight**: 150 lbs
**Eyes**: Bright yellow
**Hair**: You have to ask? Tawny gold.
**Distinguishable Marks:** Does the purple band count?
**Known Equipment**: A pair of broadswords, one made of red mithril, the other made of a green glass. She commonly wears heavy armor. She is known to have a pet lion, and horse companion known as "Auron".

**Past exploits:**
Golden herself is fairly mute on her own past within dungeon delving, trying hard to merely hold an as example of what one could become, rather than adapting the "better then thou" mentality that so many paladins fall into. If other are adventurers are probed (or the paladin is bribed sufficiently, even she admits to real world expenses), she would claim the redemption of the Bonegarden, twice over, as one of her successes. It was who she trusted it to afterward that had the less than victorious aftermath.
That here was at least one Baoz soldier that she brought back from the brink, there were probably others.
Also, Raika, the barmaid turned adventure that she helped train. Rescued from a Baozite town, then promptly raised from the dead after a samurai's perfect strike, during a "Relatively non fatal" spar.
