Glamodrim
Glamodrim is the collective term for those races who bear some kinship to orcs. Goblins and orcs are by far the most common of these races, but all of them are prolific and all are frequent foes of humankind. The threats they present range from the minor nuisance of goblins stealing village sheep to massive, fearsomely disciplined hobgoblin armies capable of smashing entire kingdoms.
All glamodrim share certain traits in common: they can see in the dark like cats, they wield weapons like men and can become formidable warriors with sufficient training, and they are capable of cooperation among themselves and with other subspecies of glamodrim if need be. Their fecundity and relative intelligence -- relative, that is, by comparison to other common evil species such as trolls and ogres -- often lead other evil powers to use them as underlings. The service of glamodrim can be secured equally well by bribery or bullying.
