Character Descriptions
Fealoke

Name: Fealoke
Race: Night-elf
Class: Illusionist
Band: Thought to be blue or purple; he does not wear one
Gender: Male
Height: 6'3" (1.92 m), though he often appears as much as a full foot taller
Weight: 150 lbs (68.0 kg)
Eyes: Gray
Hair: Black
Occupation: Monstrosity
Residence: Fealoke lives in a handsome half-timbered townhouse a block east of the North Road, near the inner moat. There is a small garden in front, enclosed by a wrought-iron fence. Though Fealoke is loath to reveal his place of residence, his infamy requires that it is well-known throughout the Coeur's underworld. See also Lauchlan dan Medoc.
Distinguishing Marks: Fealoke has a scar on his chest in the shape of a dagger between two thorns. He also has a small blue crescent mark on his right cheek.
Effects: Fealoke typically wears a long black robe of light velvet. The robe is adorned with stars of silver and midnight blue, which seem to drift over the surface of the garment. He also wears an inordinate amount of jewelry, including: a silver collar set with a black opal; an ivory bracelet with a distinct thorn motif on his right hand (though this is often hidden); and a silver bracelet on his left hand, from which dangle three thin chains, each with a ring on its end. These are a platinum ring set with a ruby, a ring of stone with steel twined about it, and a bare platinum ring, respectively. The chains are long enough that he can slip each ring on and off without removing it from its chain. He only ever wears one ring at a time -- typically the ruby. Lastly, he wears a belt of thin, golden chain, to which a small, runed cube of bone is attached in the same manner as the rings.
Fealoke usually bears a staff of old, twisted hop-hornbeam wood. A black talon is set into the knot at the top. At other times he carries a cane of varnished black-walnut wood capped by a brass knob. Interestingly, the staffs' heights vary with Fealoke's. The former always reaches his shoulder, while the latter ends at his waist.
Other Characteristics: Fealoke often exudes a cold, unnerving aura reminiscent of a wraith's. He is also rather extravagantly racist against all but the highest-born elves, men, and aesirs, and is known to have a certain affinity for children.
Character Background: Fealoke never speaks of himself, let alone his past, but he is such an oddity that much can be gleaned about him anyway. Any speaker of Elvish will recognize his peculiar dialect as one of the far north; a scholar of same would place his age at 1600 years as a minimum. A scholar of history, provided that Fealoke is in a mood for conversation, might raise that figure to 2000. Similarly, his Common accent is either a tenaciously maintained affectation or a result of extensive travel.
It is a poorly kept secret that, when he first came to the Parthenon, Fealoke went by the name "Herukalo." He achieved little renown under this name, but most who were present at the time recall him as being less malevolent than he is now. This says more about Fealoke than it does about Herukalo, as the latter went into self-imposed exile after a failed assassination attempt on a fellow patron. When he returned a year later, he had a new face and a new name.
Fealoke's sanity has steadily degenerated since his return seven years ago. This is generally taken to be a result of his study of necromancy, his relationship with Liante, his subsequent entry to the Kliastan church, and, most significantly, his discovery of a tome relating to the powers of the devils. Since the last, he has adopted an imposing, ghoulish appearance, likely aided by his extensive collection of spells. He is now arguably the most feared figure in the Coeur's underworld; though a few surpass him in power, he is the most disturbing by far.
