//His Magnificence, the Glorious, Lord of Radiance//
//“Vanity of vanities, all is vanity.”//
Falco Aerandeius has the dubious distinction of being, if possible, the one and only god more arrogant than Ahlrigh himself. His worshipers endeavor to perfect themselves after the example of their Lord. They cultivate an impeccable aesthetic taste, spare no effort or expense to maintain personal beauty, and associate only with the most selective circles of society. The faith is vastly wealthy, in part because it attracts members from the upper classes but mostly because of the money and magic liberated from “unworthy” owners.
The faith is an extraordinarily exclusive one, frequently refusing would-be novices who don't quite meet their standards of physical beauty or mental acuity. While Falcons sometimes make efforts to hide their presence in the more law-abiding cities, their insistence on having (and displaying) the best of everything usually means they aren't very good at staying concealed.
Despite the legendary vanity that leads to their being called peacocks almost as often as Falcons, the devotees of Falco Aerandeius are not all harmless fashion plates. The reverse side of their perfectionism is a chilling disdain for anyone who fails to measure up. The flawed and the ugly, Falcons believe, should be removed for the betterment of the world. While Falco's worshipers are delighted to associate with those of acceptable quality, they have no compunction about eliminating those regarded as inferior. Indeed, it is often seen as a holy duty to cleanse blemishes from the earth.
As a result, the most common associates for Falcon temples in a given city are the faiths of [[Tharacia]] and [[Kliasta]]. The first goddess' luxurious tastes coincide perfectly with their own, while the Kliastans' sadism provides an amusing -- and thoroughly deserved -- end for anyone less polished.
