====__Currency__====
The currency most commonly used in Parthos is that minted by the [[DukeTeflin Duke of the Coeur d'Ennui]]. At present, this currency consists of the following three coins:
- **The crown (gc)**, made of gold. It is worth 10 shields or 100 pence.
- **The shield (ss)**, made of silver. It is worth one-tenth of a crown or 10 pence. The shield is the basic unit of currency in the [[CoeurDEnnui Coeur]], analogous to the US dollar or the British pound.
- **The penny (cp) (pl. "pence")**, made of copper. It is worth one-hundredth of a crown or one-tenth of a shield.
Each coin features a bust of Duke Teflin on the obverse, and the Coeur's full armorial bearings on the reverse.
==Foreign Currency==
The rest of [[Calantyr]] uses coins minted by the Prince of [[Vtavia V'tavia]]. These coins differ from the Coeur's only in that they bear the Prince's face and coat of arms instead of Duke Teflin's. They are used interchangeably with the coins of the Coeur.
Naturally, [[Aridoc]], [[Ardashir]], and all of the [[TwelveKingdoms Twelve Kingdoms]] mint their own coins. For the sake of simplicity, these currencies will be referred to by their Coeur equivalents.
==Other Assets==
Nearly everything a character possesses is worth //some// money. Any item bought from the [[Marketplace]] may be resold to the market for half of its listed price. If an item's value is not listed in its description, you may request that the GMs assign it one.
