{{image class="left" alt="Connor" title="" url="http://i768.photobucket.com/albums/xx325/SicGeist9/1184010963259.jpg"}}
**Name:** Connor Deus II
**Race:** Human
**Class:** Warrior
**Band:** Green
**Gender:** Male
**Height:** 6'2
**Weight:** 195
**Eyes:** Blue
**Hair:** Black, shoulder-length.
**Occupation:** Mercenary, "Contractor"
**Distinguishing Marks:** Connor's arms are heavily tattooed, very little skin remaining visible even without a shell of armor encasing them. The design is signature Ihoshan, though whatever connection the Sebiland-born mercenary has to the distant place he either doesn't tell or isn't sure himself.
**Effects:** Throughout several years of patronage, Connor has acquired an effective and harrowing collection of armor and weaponry to compliment his natural skill at swordplay. Most commonly seen in a suit of skeletal plate mail, his most renown weapons are a bastard sword forged of black steel and a revolving flintlock pistol. A mantle forged of some similar ore rests on his shoulders, a tattered but flowing cape trailing it. Affixed to the neckguard of the armor is an ancient wooden battle standard, obviously protected from the wear of time through some magical means. Some say that during combat this impractical looking standard is responsible for wings that burst from the man, propelling him onward at inhuman speed.
One of his most cherished pieces is an ornate pauldron fitted to his right arm, finishing at a bone white gauntlet. Looking carefully, one can read finely-carved ancient common inscriptions honoring the Deus lineage.
**Other Characteristics:** Though he's well known to revel in violence on the battlefield, there's a certain discipline about the soldier that keeps him distanced from the fiendish behavior that many professional sellswords seem inclined towards. This has benefitted Connor - in most cases - by allowing him to work with a broad range of patrons, for various causes; so long as the pay is right.
**Character Background:** It is said that of the human families once settled along the Vesserine River, a few can trace their roots back thousands of years to the most ancient and revered warriors of their race. The Deus clan believes itself to be among these. Until recently, little viable evidence has surfaced throughout the mired history of the war-torn region. It wasn't until Connor's arrival at the Coeur and his ensuing adventures within the Parthenon did he begin to understand his ancestral inheritance, and the presence of even greater questions regarding the centuries-old family.
The young human is bred for combat, and it shows in both demeanor and action. He speaks little of his past, but it is known that Connor once served in various Sebilander armies (he often comments fondly of being dismissed //twice// from Officer's School) before abandoning his nation to pursue more profitable work. The ransacking of his ancestral homeland by Baozite raiders, as well as the multitude of proxy-wars waged by the nobility have left the soldier with a particularly fierce disdain for both Orcish and Glamodrim brutes and the pompous aristocracy of his own people.
While others sometimes retire after years of adventuring to settle into a more comfortable lifestyle, the swordsman often remarks that he was born to fight and will likely die doing just that.
