He was raised among the few Spears of Osajin, his life confined for long, torturous years to little more than his damp cell and rotten bedding. Often whipped and beaten, he was little more than a slave at first, to those who rode into battle. It was as a young boy that he traveled with his master to the Eighth Spire, one situated much farther away from the Center Seas, one far closer to his homeland steppes as this Spire was outside of Ardasir in the middle of the expansive deserts which surrounded it. In this new Spire, his duties changed with his increased stature and strength, transitioning from a lad who would clean stables, to one who would ride those same swift steeds across the ancient roads, relaying messages between the towers and, acting, when desired, as a liaison to the nearby Orcish tribes who more easily accepted his and his fellow half-orcs as intermediaries.
Eventually, Burze was officially accepted as a Spear of Osajin, his training and horse skills sufficient enough to begin his true training toward Knighthood. However, the slow decay which has so long slowly been sapping the strength and relevance of the Spires would change his course. The First Spear decreed that all those of the Spears who were not yet ranked would be dispersed. In rhetoric this was to spread knowledge of his dying faith to the other lands, and to gain soldiers to return and rebuild the Spires' strength. But in reality, it was a move of desperation a reaction to the simple fact of too many mouths and too few grains to feed them. Burze, then, by chance and luck found his way to the Couer. It is here where he will serve the Lord of the Hammers.

Additions:
Burze was born long ago to a half-orc herder of a band of semi-nomadic peoples of the Steppes far to the north and east, in lands not often visited by the denizens of the Center Seas. He did not live there for long, however, as by his second year, a confidant of his father appeared. Burze's father had been away on a campaign serving as light calvary and, as the rider explained to his mother and her family, (Burze would never learn) had been among a group of hired mercenaries who assisted Ang'arta in its march upon the Spears of the Second Spire in the very north of the Twelve Kingdoms. He was captured, and was often the case by the Spears of Osajin, was offered his freedom in return for a child. One that had not yet learned speech, that would not remember life outside its sandstone walls.
