Aurene Angel
Appearance: In their true forms, aurene angels resemble exceptionally comely, lithe humans with gold, brass, or copper-hued wings. Their complexions range from pale gold to a deep coppery brown; in lieu of hair, they have crests of silky feathers matching the color of their wings. An aurene's normal expression is of lively curiosity or tolerant serenity. They are masters at masking their true reactions, and seldom show anger or any other revealing emotion.
Aurene angels enjoy jewelry and henna-like body ornamentation. They tend to prefer swirling, circular patterns and cabochon gems, avoiding sharp edges or angular forms. Symmetry and wholeness are recurring elements in their designs.
Known Behaviors: Aurene angels are Amalthir's eyes into Bierilon. They wander the world disguised as ordinary mortals, testing the hearts and souls of those they come across. When touched by a particularly memorable gesture of hospitality, kindness, or noble spirit, aurene angels have been known to reveal themselves to those of truly good heart and bestow divine gifts on those they deem worthy. They are sometimes sent to bring hope to oppressed populations or encourage doubting defenders to keep the faith.
