Character Descriptions
Artemisia Raane
Name: Artemisia Raane
(Sub-)Race: Silver Elf
Class: Necromancer
Band: Grey
Gender: Female
Height: 5’6”
Weight: 125 lbs.
Eyes: Grey
Hair: Black
Distinguishable Marks: A pale, consumptive complexion. In public, she often tries to appear as inconspicuous as possible, tying her hair back and wearing non-descript clothes that give full coverage.
Occupation: Kitchen servant to a wealthy merchant household in the North of the Coeur d’Ennui.
Effects: Artemisia owns few personal items. She can often be seen either clad in all black or in the purple livery of her master.
Weapons: A dagger and set of dissection blades are her only weapons.
Background: Born to a poor family of elven servants, Artemisia has remained in the profession throughout her life. Artemisia was raised by both her parents in the Couer and has no designs to leave. In fact, she is profoundly uncomfortable with the world outside of the city’s walls. Once, when she decided to learn to forage, she spent a coveted free day in the countryside. She immediately fell ill and did not regain her senses until she had returned to the city.
Artemisia has worked as a servant in a variety of households fulfilling roles as varied as livery assistant to lady’s maid. Currently, she is a kitchen worker and server at feasts. Although she is unambitious in regard to her station in life, she conceals a deep attraction to dark magic, particularly regarding all aspects of death and undeath. In addition to working as one of her cook’s main shoppers (where her appraisal skills with flesh are valued), Artemisia makes a little extra money dealing in the undead organ trade. With a modest extra income, she keeps a dingy room near the Windhurst, where she often conducts secret dissections and experiments. If she had unlimited wealth and means, she would prefer to be left alone to pursue the esoteric corners of necromancy theory and the undead body.
Skills & Services: At the moment, Artemisia’s lack of experience prevents her from offering valuable services, but she aspires to be an expert in anatomy (both dead and undead) as well as the workings of necromantic magic.
