The Just, Lawgiver, Lord of Kings, the All-Seeing
- [[AhlrighTemple The Church of Ahlrigh]]
Stern and proud, Ahlrigh is a god of strict justice and unforgiving morals. He is a god of kings and generals, worshiped primarily by rulers rather than the ruled. Ahlrigh's followers are strong believers in the militant defense of good; his paladins are legendary for their ascetic discipline (and, in certain circles, for their stiff-necked haughtiness). Even his priests are expected to learn the rudiments of handling sword and shield along with their study of law books and court protocols.
His clergy often serve as judges, and are renowned for their unwavering fairness as much as they are resented for the severity of their punishments. All of Ahlrigh's major fortresses include a courthouse near the central chapel, and there is usually a courthouse located near his city temples as well.
While Ahlrigh is recognized and respected in many kingdoms, he commands relatively few worshipers—not many can withstand the forbidding discipline demanded by this god. Ahlrigh is a jealous deity, requiring his worshipers to revere him alone and pay homage to no other gods. His temples are immense, fortified edifices of white marble and gold, intended to overawe all visitors with the god's majesty, yet they are always spartan inside. No warmth or comfort is offered inside his temples, merely the resounding grandeur of the Lawgiver: such is the faith of Ahlrigh.
**Alignment:** Lawful Good
